Departure Lounge

As Sarah Ban Breathnach tells us in her grounding Daybook of Comfort and Joy, "both authenticity and adventure require a point of departure, the willingness to shed what is safe and predictable in order to embrace the new - new people, new places, new predicaments, pleasures and passions".

So many times we seek adventure of the external nature, forgetting that some of the biggest and most rewarding adventures we are ever likely to find are waiting on the inside.

What inner adventure will you choose to take this year? What is your point of departure? Not sure? Just ask, who or what is no longer serving you? There really is no need to establish the destination on your inner adventure. So long as you have found your point of departure, you have the power to create an incredible journey of self-discovery. Enjoy your travels!

"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that's waiting for us"

Joseph Campbell
